The solar eclipse will take place on Tuesday, November 13 afternoon and will be viewable from northern Australia, but many viewers plan to watch it live online via webcast.
For those viewers in the US, the total solar eclipse will begin at 3:35 p.m. EST on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 (in Australia it will be Nov. 14).
The Slooh Space Camera website will broadcast a live feed of the solar eclipse beginning 2:30 p.m. in Cairns, Australia.
Tourism Tropical in North Queensland will also provide a webcast of the solar eclipse Tuesday.
A solar eclipse occurs when the sun and the moon are aligned in the sky.
A warning has been issued for those watching the solar eclipse live; be careful and wear the proper solar filters on the eye…sunglasses are not enough.
